At Compression Leasing Services we proudly offer design and drafting services though our Engineering Department.  Our drafting and design department is headed by an engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wyoming and 17 continuous years of compressor package design experience.  We utilize 2D and 3D computer aided design programs to accurately plan, draw, and fabricate projects.  We can produce flow diagrams, structural drawings, machine component drawings, foundation drawings and many other types of drawings for planning, production, or as-built.

We pride ourselves in clean, well laid out, and easy to read drawings and designs appropriate to the person that will utilize them.  We have extensive expertise in all compression equipment and are capable of designing compressor equipment from the ground up for air or gas compression for mobile or permanent installation.  All designs properly follow required specifications and design practices such as ASME B31.3, ASME code vessel requirements.  We can also design an extensive modification of existing compressor for new applications, and properly size compressors of all types to determine flows and performance.

We track products we produce from the MTR’s for the raw materials through the final documented test run, and provide documentation to customers so that they can prove to their clients that the equipment was properly designed and manufactured.  We keep and provide proper records so that customers can receive parts and service during the long lifespan of many compressors. We take particular pride in the cleanliness of our designs to produce properly functioning equipment that maintenance personnel can actually work on and around safely and efficiently.  Here are some of the services we can provide.


  • Complete design and drafting of vessels, piping, skids, and compressor packages

  • All pressure vessels design and calculation is done on site by our personnel

  • Producing drawings needed to repair or modify systems or ASME vessels

  • Torsional and Finite Element Analysis studies for compressor unit design are available through 3rd parties, guided by our experience in designing compressors that work.

  • As-Built drawings of systems and locations

  • Equipment layout drawings for on and offshore compressor locations

  • Complete compressor performance of any type of compressor, whether it’s still in production or not through our comprehensive collection of 50 years of equipment data and 17 years of compressor sizing experience with the latest programs

  • Performance charts for compressor though an entire range of conditions

  • Separator, filter, pulsation bottle, and storage tank design and drafting

  • Lifting sling and pad-eye designs for equipment

  • Hydro-testing and lift testing with data provided by certified digital pressure or weight gauges up to 10,000 psi or 40,000 lbs.
